- What are the visiting hours and guidelines?
General visiting hours are 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. If approved by a nurse, children may visit, but another adult must supervise them.
- How do I call a patient's room?
Just dial 828-286-5 + Room Number.
- What are the visiting hours for The Birth Place?
General visiting hours are 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
- What is the difference between the traditional nursery stay and the Mother/Baby Program?
Traditional nursery - you can have your baby brought to you any time (which includes feeding and bonding times). Only grandparents, siblings, and bonding person can be in your room while your baby is there.
Mother/Baby Program - limit 2 visitors. The baby will stay in your room the entire time you are with us. The only time the baby will go to the nursery is for checks and tests by the nurses. When theses are completed, your baby will be brought back to you. Once you have selected this option, your baby cannot stay in the nursery unless there is a concern about the baby's health.
- What are the visiting hours for the Intensive Care Unit?
Only members of the immediate family are permitted to visit. Visitors must be 12 years or older with no more than 3 visitors at a time.

- Can I order flowers and balloons to be sent to the patient?
Flowers and balloons delivered to the hospital will be taken to the patient's room by one of our Volunteers.
Note: Flowers and balloons are not permitted in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Where is smoking allowed?
The use of tobacco is prohibited on Rutherford Regional Health System property.
- Where can I go to get something to eat?
The Breakaway Café is located on the ground floor close to the front lobby. There is a variety of selections: soups and salad bar; hot entrees, vegetables, and dessert; grilled items such as burgers, and sandwich specials; pizza; "grab and go" items, such as salads, sandwiches, wraps, yogurt, fruit juices, and bottle drink products and desserts.

Vending machines for hot (including a variety of coffees) and cold drinks, snacks, sandwiches and confectionery are available 24 hours a day in the "More Than Coffee" area on the first floor.Also you will find drink and snack vending machines in the ICU Waiting Area, Emergency Room Waiting Area and Outpatient Area near the elevators.
- Where do I park?
Visitors may park in the front of the hospital on the ground level in front of the hospital. All parking is free.
- Who do I call with a complaint or concern?
