Rutherford Wound Care & Hyperbarics was established by Rutherford Regional Health System to address the increasing needs for comprehensive wound care in Rutherford County and surrounding areas.
The practice exists to treat chronic wounds as well as provide education to patients and providers on the treatment and prevention of wounds in high risk populations.
Chronic, non-healing wounds are those wounds that have not improved dramatically in four weeks or have not healed completely in eight weeks. It is estimated that there are 5 million Americans suffering from chronic wounds; 1.5 million of those with non-healing wounds have diabetes.

Dr. Lassiter is Board Certified in Family Medicine and has Primary Training in Hyperbaric Medicine at Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC. With eight years of experience in wound care, Dr. Lassiter has treated more than 20,000 wounds.
